Course Description

This qualification reflects the role of individuals who apply highly specialised knowledge and skills in the field of organisational learning and capability development. Individuals in these roles generate and evaluate complex ideas. They also initiate, design and execute major learning and development functions within an organisation. Typically, they would have full responsibility and accountability for the personal output and work of others. This course is designed to provide students with the skills and knowledge to:

• Lead innovative thinking and practice
• Lead strategic transformation
• Develop and cultivate collaborative partnerships and relationships
• Contribute to organisational performance development
• Contribute to the development of learning and development strategies
• Implement improved learning practice
• Apply critical thinking for complex problem solving Initiate and lead applied research

Our Graduate Diploma of Management (Learning) is a nationally recognised VET qualification.

Course Duration

• 52 weeks (including term breaks)
• 4 terms (10 weeks per term)

This course consists of 8 units of competency (3 core and 5 elective) delivered across a period of 52 weeks (including 12 weeks of term breaks). Students will complete 800 hours of structured learning (20 hours per week) and are expected to complete 400 hours of unsupervised study and assessment preparation (10 hours per week). The 40 weeks of learning are split into 4 terms of 10 weeks each, and each term covers 2 units of competency.

Course Entry Requirements

1. English Proficiency Requirements:
   • Applicants must demonstrate proficiency in English through one of the following:
     • IELTS (International English Language Testing System) with a minimum overall band score of 6.0, with no individual band score below 6.0.
     • Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic) with a minimum overall score of 50, and a minimum score of 50 in each of the four skills.
     • Any other English proficiency test deemed equivalent by Opulence College.
2. Age Requirements:
   • Applicants must be at least 18 years of age at the time of enrolment.
3. Academic Requirements:
   • Applicants must have successfully completed an Advanced Diploma course.

Note: Meeting these requirements does not guarantee admission, as additional factors may be considered during the selection process.

Assessments

This course will be delivered and assessed through verbal assessment, group discussion, consultation, prescribed textbook reading and online written assessment activities.

Course Outcome

Students will attain the Graduate Diploma of Management (Learning) once all units have been completed at a competent level.

Graduates of our Graduate Diploma of Management (Learning) will gain critical skills and knowledge to be able to perform in a variety of business managing roles. Relevant job roles include:
