This qualification reflects the role of individuals who provide support and care to elderly individuals and people with disabilities in community or residential settings. Their skill set includes assisting with daily activities, promoting independence, and enhancing the quality of life for their clients. Job roles that relate to this qualification may include Aged Care Worker, Disability Support Worker, Home Care Assistant, and Personal Care Assistant.
Responsibilities are determined at a workplace level and may involve working directly with clients to deliver personalized care. In some cases, individuals may support a range of clients across different settings.
Our Certificate III in Individual Support (Aging and Disability) is a nationally recognized VET qualification.
This course consists of 15 units of competency (9 core and 6 electives) delivered across a period of 52 weeks of 4 terms (including 6 weeks of term breaks).
