Course Description

The CPC30620 Certificate III in Painting and Decorating at Opulence College provides a trade outcome in painting and decorating for residential and commercial construction work.

Graduates may work as Painters and Decorators, undertaking tasks such as preparing surfaces, applying paint and decorative finishes, working with wallpaper and protective coating systems, and carrying out painting work safely and efficiently.

The qualification is classified at AQF Level 3 and is suitable for an Australian Apprenticeship pathway. Licensing and regulatory requirements for painting and decorating work may vary between Australian states and territories.

Course Duration

54 weeks, including:

• 50 weeks of study

Course Entry Requirements

All international students are required to complete a Pre-Training Review and LLND assessment to identify their individual training and support needs.

1. English Proficiency Requirements: Applicants must demonstrate proficiency in English through one of the following tests:
   • IELTS (International English Language Testing System): Minimum overall band score of 6.0, with no individual band score below 6.0.
   • Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic): Minimum overall score of 47 (with 47 for listening / 48 for reading / 51 for writing / 54 for speaking).
   • Any other English proficiency test deemed equivalent by Opulence College.
   • Alternative evidence of English proficiency may also be accepted (please contact our Admission team for more details)
2. Age Requirements: Applicants must be at least 18 years old at the time of enrolment.
3. Academic Requirements: Applicants must have successfully completed Australian Year 10 or its equivalent.

Note: Meeting these requirements does not guarantee admission, as additional factors may be considered during the selection process.
