Credit Transfer Application Forms

If you have already completed units with another Australian training provider, you may be able to receive credit for them at Opulence College. Credit transfer is free, and where credit is granted you will not repeat the training or assessment for those units, and you will not be charged for them.

You can apply before you enrol, or at any time during your course.

Choose the Credit Transfer Application Form for the course you are enrolled in, or intend to study. If you are unsure which form to use, contact us at admission.act@opc.edu.au.

Complete Sections 1 and 2 only, and clearly list every unit you are claiming. Sections 3 and 4 are completed by Opulence College — please leave them blank.

If you send a certified copy, a photocopy can be certified as a true copy of the original by an authorised person — for example a Justice of the Peace, police officer, doctor, accountant. 

We verify all documentation before granting credit, usually through the USI Transcript Service or directly with the provider that issued it. We may ask to see the original at a later stage.

Email everything to the Admissions Team at admission.act@opc.edu.au, or lodge it in person at any OPC campus. If anything is missing, we will contact you.

We process credit transfer applications within 5 working days of receiving your complete application and evidence, and will notify you of the outcome in writing.

Credit is granted where the unit you completed is the same as the OPC unit, or is recorded on training.gov.au as equivalent to it. It is not granted automatically.

If credit is not granted we will tell you why, and set out your options — applying for recognition of prior learning (RPL), gap training, or enrolling in the unit. If you disagree with the decision you may appeal at no cost using the OPC Complaints and Appeals Form.

Credit transfer needs formal evidence of completed study. If your skills come from work or life experience instead, apply for recognition of prior learning (RPL). RPL is a form of assessment and a published assessment fee applies.

If credit reduces your course duration, we will give you a written record of the decision for you to accept, issue a revised Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) for the shorter duration, and report the change in PRISMS.
